The Wind Runner 4800 Series is the realization of the vision that launched Ashland Electric Bikes five years ago. The evolution of battery technology and what some might consider obsessive determination has finally allowed me to blend the level of power and capacity that I imagined was possible with this classic mountain bike platform. Federal regulations tell us that ebikes cannot exceed 20 mph on the road, but they don’t tell us how quickly we can get to that speed or how well we can maintain it under load or in hilly terrain.
